Why Us

Why Dallas producers choose Space Productions

01

10+ Years, 500+ Events

Texas rooms run big — stadium bowls, convention halls, corporate campuses that really are campuses. We spec LED for the long sightline and schedule crews for metroplex distances, so scale never becomes the excuse.

02

White-Glove, Start to Finish

We don’t just drop off equipment — we engineer the full experience. Our crew manages design, setup, programming, and teardown so you never lift a finger.

03

Trusted by Global Icons

Our LED production has powered experiences for Netflix, Universal, Adidas, Hilton, and more. When top brands need show-stopping visuals, they call us.

04

Transparent, Upfront Pricing

No surprise fees. No fine print. Just clear quotes with flexible packages that scale to your event and budget. LED wall rentals typically start at $5,000.

How we work

Quote. Site walk. Build. Show.

A process built so nothing is left to chance between the booking and the strike.

Quote

Tell us the venue, the date, and the scope. We come back fast with a clear, itemized quote — no guesswork, no padding.

Site Walk

We walk the venue or the plans — power, rigging points, sightlines, load-in paths. The spec on paper matches what shows up.

Build

Every wall and rig is tested in our shop before it leaves. We deliver, rig, and program ahead of doors — never against the clock.

Show

A dedicated tech stays on-site for the full run of show — content, redundancy, real-time fixes. We stay through strike.

A wide, low ballroom is an audio problem before it is a lighting problem. The corners are where speech goes to die.

DFW’s corporate rooms are typically much wider than they are deep, with hard surfaces and low ceilings. A centre-hung or single-point system leaves the outer sections thin and late, which is exactly where the executives who care about the audio tend to be sitting.

Included as standard

  • Delivery, rigging, and clean cable management
  • Redundant processing and power on critical systems
  • An on-site tech for the full run of show
  • A real rehearsal before doors — never against the clock
  • Strike and load-out by the same crew

Dallas, TX

What changes about event audio in Dallas.

Wide, shallow geometry needs wide coverage, not more level. A pair of mains aimed down the centre will leave the outer thirds of a DFW ballroom under-covered and time-smeared, so we use additional positions across the width and time-align them properly. It is the single most common fix on a Dallas corporate show.

Air walls and subdivided rooms are everywhere here. Large hotel ballrooms split into concurrent sessions with acoustically thin partitions, so directional coverage that keeps energy off the wall matters as much as reaching your own back row — bleed complaints are common and entirely avoidable with the right design.

And multi-room programmes are the norm rather than the exception. Corporate events across the metroplex often run a general session plus several breakouts simultaneously, which means RF coordinated across all of them as one plan rather than room by room, and enough engineers that no room is left unattended during its most important twenty minutes.

Coverage across the width

Extra positions and proper time alignment, because the outer thirds of a wide ballroom are the weak point.

Directional design against air walls

Energy kept off thin partitions so concurrent sessions do not bleed into each other.

RF coordinated across all rooms

One frequency plan for the whole programme, with enough engineers that no breakout runs unattended.

Know what you’re asking for

The kit, and what each piece is actually for.

Audio quotes are hard to compare because the vocabulary is unfamiliar and the differences are invisible on paper. Here’s the language, so you can tell what a Dallas bid actually includes. Everything below is gear we own, tune, and mix ourselves — with an engineer on the desk, not a system left running unattended.

Main system

Line array

Vertically stacked speaker elements that behave as one tall source, throwing evenly from front to back.

Ask for it when: Long or large rooms, and anywhere the back row matters as much as the front. Overkill in a small ballroom.

Main system

Point-source speaker

A single conventional cabinet covering a defined area.

Ask for it when: Most corporate rooms. Cheaper, quicker to deploy, and genuinely the right answer more often than vendors admit.

Low end

Subwoofer

A cabinet handling the low frequencies the main speakers can’t reproduce.

Ask for it when: Music of any kind. Rarely needed for speech-only, and it’s the first thing to cut when there’s a noise limit.

Coverage

Delay position

Additional speakers further back, time-aligned so their sound arrives with the main system rather than as an echo.

Ask for it when: Deep rooms and outdoor sites. This — not more volume — is how the back of a room gets intelligible speech.

Coverage

Front fill

Small speakers along the stage edge covering the first few rows, which the mains fire over.

Ask for it when: Any raised system. Without it your VIP front tables are the worst seats in the room.

Performer

Stage monitor (wedge)

A speaker on the deck angled back so performers hear themselves.

Ask for it when: Live music and any presenter working with a band. Separate from what the audience hears.

Performer

In-ear monitor (IEM)

A wireless earpiece feed replacing floor wedges.

Ask for it when: When the stage needs to stay quiet — broadcast, tight rooms, or noise-limited sites. Also cleaner for the audience mix.

Control

FOH console

The front-of-house desk where the audience mix is made, out in the room rather than backstage.

Ask for it when: Every show. If the mix position isn’t in the room, nobody is hearing what your guests hear.

Microphone

Handheld wireless

A wireless mic held or on a stand.

Ask for it when: Q&A, panels, and anyone who won’t wear a pack. The most forgiving mic for an inexperienced speaker.

Microphone

Lavalier (lav)

A small clip-on mic with a bodypack transmitter.

Ask for it when: Presenters who need their hands free and want the mic largely invisible on camera.

Microphone

Headset mic

A thin over-ear mic sitting at a fixed distance from the mouth.

Ask for it when: Presenters who move a lot, and any room where a lav would be too quiet. More consistent than a lav, more visible.

Microphone

Gooseneck / podium mic

A fixed mic mounted on the lectern.

Ask for it when: Formal programmes and anyone reading from the podium. Wired, so it can’t drop mid-sentence.

Connection

DI box

A small box converting a laptop, instrument, or playback source into a clean, hum-free feed.

Ask for it when: Any time video playback or a laptop is going through the system. It’s the fix for buzz nobody can locate.

Wireless

RF coordination

Scanning the venue’s radio spectrum on the day and assigning every wireless channel a clear frequency.

Ask for it when: Any show with more than a couple of wireless channels. It’s why mics drop, and it’s entirely preventable.

Access

Assistive listening

A separate feed to receivers for guests who are hard of hearing.

Ask for it when: Public-facing and many corporate events — often an accessibility requirement rather than an option.

How to spec it

How we size a PA — and how to sanity-check any audio quote.

A line array isn’t automatically better; it’s better for rooms that need it. Here’s the logic we use, so you can check anyone’s quote against your actual room.

Boardroom / up to ~150, speech-first
What it usually needsPoint-source on stands + wireless mics
WhyA line array here is paying for boxes the room can’t use
Ballroom keynote / 150–600
What it usually needsCompact line array + front fills
WhyArrays throw evenly to the back; fills keep row one comfortable
Concert or performance / 600+
What it usually needsFull line array + cardioid subs + monitors
WhyEven low end off the stage; performers hear their own mix

Pricing, explained

What moves the price.

Audio quotes are hard to compare because the line items hide the logic. Here’s the logic.

System class

Point-source vs. line array — the room and headcount decide, not the brochure.

Wireless channels

Every mic needs coordinated RF. DFW’s spectrum is crowded; uncoordinated mics are the ones that drop mid-sentence.

Monitor world

Performers need their own mixes — wedges or in-ears, a real line item on music shows.

Engineer time

A perfectly tuned system still needs someone riding the mix when the CEO leans away from the mic. Ours stays through strike.

Redundancy

A hot spare on the podium, saved console scenes, amp headroom — the items you only miss when they’re gone.

Tell us the room and the program — we’ll spec it both ways where it’s close, with the trade-offs priced and itemized.

Who this is for

Festivals

What goes wrong (and how we prevent it)

Sound is the first thing a room notices when it’s wrong.

The keynote is muddy past row 20

We measure and tune the system to the room on-site — not by eye, not by memory.

A mic drops during the CEO’s Q&A

Coordinated RF plus a hot spare live on the podium.

The front row gets hammered so the back can hear

Front fills and delays put sound where it’s missing — instead of just turning it up.

FAQ

Questions producers ask.

Everything you need to know about putting your show in our hands. Can’t find your answer here?

A speech package for a mid-size ballroom typically runs a few thousand dollars. Multi-room corporate programmes with a general session and several breakouts run well beyond, since each room needs coverage, wireless, and an engineer. Everything is itemized by room.
