Why Us

Why Leading Brands Choose Space Productions

01

02

White-Glove, Start to Finish

We don’t just drop off equipment — we engineer the full experience. Our crew manages design, setup, programming, and teardown so you never lift a finger.

03

Trusted by Global Icons

Our LED production has powered experiences for Netflix, Universal, Adidas, Hilton, and more. When top brands need show-stopping visuals, they call us.

04

Transparent, Upfront Pricing

No surprise fees. No fine print. Just clear quotes with flexible packages that scale to your event and budget. LED wall rentals typically start at $5,000.

How we work

Quote. Site walk. Build. Show.

A process built so nothing is left to chance between the booking and the strike.

Quote

Tell us the venue, the date, and the scope. We come back fast with a clear, itemized quote — no guesswork, no padding.

Site Walk

We walk the venue or the plans — power, rigging points, sightlines, load-in paths. The spec on paper matches what shows up.

Build

Every wall and rig is tested in our shop before it leaves. We deliver, rig, and program ahead of doors — never against the clock.

Show

A dedicated tech stays on-site for the full run of show — content, redundancy, real-time fixes. We stay through strike.

The set the camera loves and the brand signs off on.

We build the physical world of your show — scenic headers, columns, facades, and set pieces fabricated to your creative and finished to match. Designed alongside the LED and lighting so the scenic and the screens read as one build, not three vendors’ leftovers.

Included as standard

  • Delivery, rigging, and clean cable management
  • Redundant processing and power on critical systems
  • An on-site tech for the full run of show
  • A real rehearsal before doors — never against the clock
  • Strike and load-out by the same crew

The build, answered

How does a render become a set that ships?

In a shop, weeks before your date — not at the venue the night before. We fabricate from your actual drawing files: custom carpentry, metalwork, and finishing under one roof, prototyped and dry-fit before anything reaches the dock, with photos to you before it ships. The finish — scenic paint, vinyl wrap, branded surfaces — is checked under stage lighting, because a set that matches the render in daylight can miss it badly under a wash.

The part most shops get wrong is the integration. Scenic that arrives separate from the LED and lighting turns load-in into a negotiation between vendors. Ours is designed around the LED and lighting plot from the first drawing — screen cut-outs, hidden cable paths, protected sightlines — so the physical and the digital land as one intentional environment, built and struck by the same crew.

From your files

Built from the same drawings as the render, dry-fit in the shop, photographed before it ships.

Finished for show light

Paint and wrap checked under stage lighting — the brand color survives the wash.

Designed around the LED

Cut-outs, cable paths, and sightlines planned from drawing one — no vendor seams.

Know what you’re asking for

How a set actually gets built.

Scenic is the part of a show that photographs, and the vocabulary is mostly workshop language. Here’s what each term means for a Los Angeles build, so you can brief a look rather than describe it twice. Everything below is fabricated and dry-assembled in our own shop first.

Structure

Hard flat

A rigid faced panel — the basic wall unit a set is assembled from.

Ask for it when: Any solid-looking set wall. Flats are what make a room read as architecture rather than as drape.

Structure

Soft goods

Drape, backdrops, and fabric used to define space, mask, or absorb light.

Ask for it when: Masking backstage, softening a room, and covering ground quickly. Far cheaper per square foot than hard scenic.

Form

Header

A horizontal element spanning above the stage or an entrance, framing what sits beneath it.

Ask for it when: When a stage needs a defined top edge — it’s what stops a set looking like it just stops.

Form

Column / totem

Free-standing vertical elements, often used in pairs or runs to add rhythm and depth.

Ask for it when: Entrances, sponsor moments, and adding dimension to a set that would otherwise be a flat wall.

Finish

Print wrap

Large-format printed vinyl or fabric applied to a built surface.

Ask for it when: Branded builds. It’s the fastest way to put artwork on scenic, and it needs print-ready files at real scale.

Finish

CNC cut

Machine-cut shapes and letterforms, cut from your artwork rather than approximated.

Ask for it when: Dimensional logos and cut-out patterns — anywhere a printed version would look flat.

Finish

Paint finish

The surface treatment and sheen — matte, satin, gloss, or textured.

Ask for it when: Always specify it. Matte kills reflections under lighting; gloss photographs beautifully and shows every fingerprint.

Compliance

Flame certificate

Documentation that materials meet the venue’s fire rating, covering fabric and treated surfaces.

Ask for it when: Every venue asks, and many won’t let a set in without it. It’s produced with the build, not chased afterwards.

Approach

Modular vs. one-off

Building from a reusable kit versus fabricating bespoke pieces for this show only.

Ask for it when: A budget conversation worth having early. Modular is cheaper and faster; one-off is the only way to get an exact shape.

Process

Shop pre-build

Dry-assembling the full set in the shop before it ships, and correcting fit there.

Ask for it when: Every set of any complexity. The first assembly should never happen on your load-in clock.

Moment

Reveal

A mechanism that hides something and then exposes it on cue — a kabuki drop, a tracked curtain, a lifting panel.

Ask for it when: Product launches and unveilings. It has to be designed into the set from the start, not added late.

Pricing, explained

What moves the price.

Custom fabrication pricing follows the drawing. These are the five things that move it.

Size & piece count

Material and shop hours scale with square footage — and with how many trucks it fills.

Finish level

Paint, print wrap, or lit-from-within — the camera-close pieces earn the higher finish.

Integration

LED, lighting, or motion built into the piece is fabricated around the gear, not taped to it.

Reuse vs. built-to-keep

Pulling from rental scenic stock costs less than fabricating a piece you keep after the show.

Schedule

Rush shop time is real overtime — send the render early and the number drops.

Send the design (or the idea) and the date — we’ll quote the build itemized, with the shop schedule attached.

The build question

What goes wrong with custom scenic — and how do we prevent it?

The piece doesn’t match the render

Built from the same file, dry-fit in the shop, photos to you before it ships.

It doesn’t fit through the venue doors

Measured to the dock and drawn to break down — install is assembly, not surgery.

Scenic, LED, and lighting don’t line up

One shop builds all three to one drawing; there’s no seam for the design to fall through.

The finish reads wrong under show light

Paint and wrap are checked under stage lighting in the shop — “brand red” stays brand red when the wash hits it.
