How far out should we book an LED wall or event production crew?

Four to eight weeks covers most shows, and two to three months is safer for large or complex builds and peak season (October–December). The sooner the date is on our calendar, the more flexibility you have on gear and crew. Anything inside two weeks is worth a call rather than a form.

Can you handle a last-minute or short-notice show?

Often, yes — we keep a quick-turn crew for exactly that. Tell us the date and the scope and we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible rather than overpromise and scramble. Short-notice shows are usually limited by gear availability and rigging access, not by our willingness to take them.

How does the booking process actually work?

Four steps: quote, site walk, build, show. You get a clear itemized quote, a walked venue with a 3D render, gear tested in our shop before it ships, and a technician who runs it through strike. Nothing moves to the next step until the one before it is signed off.

How long does it take to set up an LED wall?

A typical 10–20 foot wall loads in and is show-ready in three to six hours, including rigging, power, processing, and content testing. Larger or curved builds and complex rigging can take a full day. We schedule load-in so the wall is running well before your rehearsal, not during it.

What do you need from us before show day?

Venue access details, your run of show, and final content in the agreed format. If there are house restrictions — rigging points, load-in windows, union labor, power access — we want those early, because they shape the build more than anything else. We handle the rest with the venue directly.

Do you deliver, rig, and run it — or just drop the gear?

End to end: delivery, rigging, content load and testing, a dedicated tech on-site for the full run of show, and strike afterward. You never touch the equipment. We are a full-service production company, not a dry-hire rental desk.

Is an on-site technician really included?

Yes — an on-site tech is standard on every show, not an add-on. They load and rehearse the content, run it live, handle real-time fixes, and stay through strike. If a laptop dies or a cue changes ten minutes before doors, someone who knows the system is already in the room.

What happens if something fails mid-show?

Every wall and rig is tested in our shop the day before, critical systems run redundant processing and power, and your on-site tech handles anything live. Redundancy means a failed processor or feed switches over without the room noticing. The audience never sees it.

Do you own your gear or sub it out?

We own and maintain tour-grade gear and run our own crew. The walls, processors, truss, and consoles are ours — so the spec on paper is exactly what rolls off the truck, with no quiet substitutions. Sub-rented gear is where most spec surprises come from.

What should I look for when hiring an event production company?

What is an LED video wall?

An LED video wall is a large display built from modular panels that lock together into one seamless screen. Unlike a projector, it produces its own light, so it stays bright and saturated in a lit room or in daylight. Panels can be configured into almost any size or shape, which is why the same system works for a keynote, a stage backdrop, or an outdoor festival.

What is pixel pitch, and why does it matter?

Pixel pitch is the distance in millimetres between the centre of one LED and the next — so a 2.6mm wall packs its pixels more tightly than a 3.9mm wall. Smaller pitch means a sharper image up close and a higher price. The right number depends almost entirely on how far your closest viewer and your cameras sit from the wall.

LED wall vs projection — which is better for my event?

LED wins in any room you cannot make dark. It produces its own light, so it holds contrast under house lighting and in daylight, and nobody can walk through the beam. Projection is cheaper for very large images in controlled, darkened rooms. For corporate keynotes, brand activations, and anything on camera, LED is almost always the right call.

What is the difference between indoor and outdoor LED walls?

Outdoor panels are brighter and weather-rated — typically 5,000+ nits versus roughly 1,000–1,500 for indoor — and they are sealed against rain and dust. They also use a wider pixel pitch, because outdoor audiences stand further back. Outdoor builds add wind-load engineering to the rigging, which is why they cost more than an equivalent indoor wall.

Should I rent or buy an LED wall?

Rent unless you are running shows weekly in a fixed room. Buying means carrying the cost of storage, spare panels, processing, transport, and a trained crew — and LED technology moves fast enough that an owned wall dates quickly. Renting puts current-generation gear and an experienced technician in the room for the days you actually need them.

Can you build curved or custom-shaped LED walls?

Yes — modular panels let us build curves, columns, arches, and custom shapes. We translate the render into a buildable plan, prototype the geometry in our shop, and match the approved design on site. Curved and shaped builds need more rigging time, so they want a longer lead.

What pixel pitch do I need for my event?

Indoor keynotes and anything on broadcast cameras usually want 1.9–2.6mm for close-up sharpness; outdoor and large-format runs 3.9–4.8mm because the audience stands further back. A rough rule: your closest viewer should be no nearer than the pitch in metres. We spec the exact pitch to your viewing distance, cameras, and budget on the site walk.

Will the wall be readable outdoors or in daylight?

Yes — our high-bright panels run 5,000+ nits and stay sharp in direct sun, with auto-dimming after dark so the wall does not blow out once the light drops. Outdoor builds are weather-ready and the rigging is engineered for wind load before anyone powers it on.

How much power does an LED wall need?

A typical event wall draws roughly 3–8 kW depending on size, pitch, and brightness — often less than the lighting rig beside it. We calculate the full production load, confirm what the venue can supply, and bring distribution and redundancy on critical circuits. Power is one of the first things we check on a site walk, because it is the most common venue surprise.

What content format and resolution should we send?

Send the highest-quality file you have and we will map it to the wall’s native resolution — an LED wall is rarely a standard 16:9, so content usually needs to be built to the exact pixel dimensions of your configuration. We give you those dimensions once the wall is speced, ideally well before your content team locks the deck.

Can we see how the wall will look in our venue first?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After a short discovery call we send a 3D render of the wall in your actual venue with your content on it, so you can lock the look before show day. It is the cheapest possible moment to change your mind about size or placement.

Do you provide LED wall rental and event production in Los Angeles?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Los Angeles is our home market. Our shop is in Van Nuys and we produce shows across LA County and all of Southern California, from downtown hotel ballrooms and convention centres to studio lots and outdoor venues. Same crew, same gear, whether the room is in Century City or Pasadena.

Where else do you travel for shows?

We travel nationally for shows that need us — Las Vegas, San Francisco, San Diego, Dallas, Austin, Chicago, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, New Orleans, and New York among them. Logistics and travel are built into the quote as their own visible line, with no hidden add-ons at the end.

Do you handle rigging, power, and cable management?

Yes — engineered, load-rated rigging, power distribution sized to the full production load with redundancy on critical systems, and cable that is matted, protected, hidden from camera, and labeled. We provide rigging plots and load calculations when the venue requires them.

Can you work in union venues and handle venue requirements?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We are licensed and insured, we carry the certificates most venues ask for, and we work alongside in-house or union labor where the room requires it. Send us the venue and we will deal with their production office directly — house rules, load-in windows, and rigging approvals included.

Can you coordinate with our other vendors and the venue?

Always — we plan the LED, stage, and lighting around the room and the rest of the production so everything lands where the drawing said it would. One crew, one point of contact, no finger-pointing between vendors when something needs to move.

Across the industry, event LED wall rentals generally run from roughly $1,500 for a small indoor setup to $15,000 or more for large outdoor builds, with size, pixel pitch, and run length driving most of the difference. We quote every show individually rather than from a list price, because a wall speced to the wrong room is the expensive mistake.

What do you need to give me a quote?

The venue (or plans), the date, and what the content and audience are. A site walk or venue drawings make it faster and more accurate, but we can scope a strong starting quote from a short call. Most quotes go back the same or next business day.

Are there hidden fees, or is delivery and labor included?

No hidden fees. Delivery, rigging, setup, an on-site technician for the run of show, and strike are quoted up front, itemized line by line — gear, crew, power, truck — so you can compare it against anyone else. Travel is its own visible line rather than folded into a lump sum.

Because a wall speced to the wrong room is the expensive mistake. A real quote built to your venue, pixel pitch, and content is more honest — and usually cheaper — than a misleading list price you would have to renegotiate once someone actually walks the room.
